GAWSF Inaugurated Xinjiang Representative Office in Urumqi, China

On August 3rd, the GAWSF Xinjiang Representative Office was officially inaugurated in Urumqi, Xinjiang, China, in a ceremony presided over by Dr. CHE Kuong Hon, President of the World Sports University, and University Council member Mr. WONG Po Kee along side other officals. This event marks a significant milestone in the sports sector, as the establishment of the Xinjiang Representative Office is set to enhance international sports standards and promote the integration of “sports +” initiatives.

Authorized by the authorities of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, the GAWSF has been granted permission to establish the Xinjiang Representative Office. Zheng Xiaoyu, Chairman of Guangdong Zhongrou Cultural and Sports Management Co., Ltd., has been appointed as the Chief Representative of the office.

The inauguration of the GAWSF Xinjiang Representative Office is poised to serve as a vital link between Xinjiang and the global sports community, facilitating increased international sports engagements and the advancement of sports standards in the region. Shang Hongbo, Secretary of the Party Group of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Sports Bureau, highlighted the office’s potential to elevate sports internationalization and drive innovative collaborations in various sectors such as “sports + culture and tourism,” “sports + education,” and “sports + health preservation.”
