The Third JETI International Conference, jointly organised by World Sports University (WSU) and World Sports University Press, concluded successfully on 29 November at the WSU Macao Centre, located on the 16th floor of the Macao Daily News Building.

Third JETI International Conference Concludes Successfully in Macao

With the theme “Leading the Future: Global Trends and Innovation in Digital Education”, this year’s conference brought together more than 50 scholars, educators and student researchers from across the world to examine the future of digitalised learning, AI-enhanced education, innovative teaching methodologies and sustainable learning ecosystems.

Opening Ceremony: Emphasis on Collaboration and Innovation

The forum opened with remarks by Dr. Che Kuong Hon, President of World Sports University, joined by distinguished guests including:

  • Prof. Wang Xinghua, Qingdao University

  • Prof. Yan Shilei, Associate Director of Library, Macau University of Science and Technology

  • Prof. Zhai Xuesong, Zhejiang University

  • Dr. Wang Yanli, Henan University of Economics and Law

Dr. Che stressed the essential role of interdisciplinary exchange and international cooperation in driving educational innovation during the era of digital transformation. He expressed hope that the JETI Conference will continue to foster intellectual exchange and long-term partnerships among global scholars.

Five Keynote Lectures Explore the Future of Digital Education

The academic agenda featured five keynote presentations, each addressing a critical frontier in digital education:

  • Prof. Wang Xinghua (Qingdao University) — “Social Robots and Child Development: Opportunities, Challenges and Future Directions”

  • Dr. Wei Wei (Macao Polytechnic University) — “Using Generative AI to Support Peer-Feedback Scaffolding: An Exploratory Study Based on Cognitive Network Analysis”

  • Prof. Zhai Xuesong (Zhejiang University, via recorded video) — “Digital Ubiquitous Learning, Sustainable Innovation and Student Motivation”

  • Prof. Xu Xiaoshu (Executive Editor, JETI) — “From Experience to Research”, offering methodological guidance for emerging scholars

  • Dr. Wang Yanli (Henan University of Economics and Law) — “Core Advantages and Practical Pathways of Intelligent Ideological and Political Education in Universities”

Student Research Presentations Highlight Emerging Talent

A dedicated student presentation session showcased research from doctoral and undergraduate students from Macao Polytechnic University, Henan University of Economics and Law, and South China Normal University.

Their studies covered:

  • AI-empowered arts education

  • Innovation in ideological and political education

  • Intelligent evaluation models for online discussion

These presentations highlighted the creativity and research potential of the next generation of education scholars.

Book Signing Event Draws Strong Interest

One of the conference highlights was the on-site book signing event for “150-Question Self-Check Handbook for SSCI Writing in Social Sciences”, authored by Prof. Xu Xiaoshu.

Drawing from her extensive experience in research and academic publishing, Prof. Xu’s handbook offers practical, systematic guidance for scholars preparing manuscripts for international journals.

The signing event attracted a large crowd, with many participants eager to engage in discussion with the author. The book has been widely praised as an essential reference for researchers in the social sciences.

A donation ceremony was also held, during which the Hong Kong Education and Talent Exchange Association purchased and donated ten copies of the handbook to undergraduate, master’s and doctoral students in Hong Kong.

During the closing ceremony, the organising committee awarded certificates of recognition to all keynote speakers and outstanding student presenters in appreciation of their academic contributions.

Representing the committee, Prof. Xu Xiaoshu expressed heartfelt thanks to all participants, partner institutions and the conference support team, officially announcing the successful conclusion of the Third JETI International Conference.

JETI Journal Achieves New Milestone

The international journal JETI, published by World Sports University Press, was officially accepted into the Asian Science Citation Index (ASCI) this year.

With current indexation in ASCI and Scopus, the editorial team hopes the journal will achieve SSCI inclusion in the near future.

WSU Press is also preparing a printed annual collection of JETI for university library acquisition worldwide, scheduled for release in early 2026. Additionally, preparations are underway for a new international journal focusing on the global sports industry, which will provide a high-quality publication platform for scholars in related fields.

A Platform for Global Dialogue

This year’s conference once again demonstrated JETI’s growing influence as an interdisciplinary and international platform for advancing digital education research.
