The International Sport for All Federation (FISpT) held its Electoral General Assembly and Congress on 24 January 2026 in Civitanova Marche, Italy, gathering Sport for All leaders, international federations, and national organisations from around the world.

WSU President CHE Kuong Hon Elected to FISpT Executive Board at Global Assembly in Italy

At the Assembly, delegates adopted new Statutes to align the Federation more closely with the values of the Olympic Movement, reinforcing principles of good governance, transparency, accountability, and ethical leadership. Under the revised framework, FISpT—recognised by the International Olympic Committee—is governed by Italian law, with its headquarters in Rome, and the CEO acting as the organisation’s legal representative.

Marco Tomasini (ITA) was confirmed as CEO and General Secretary under the new Statutes.

A key outcome of the Assembly was the election of the new Executive Board for the forthcoming mandate. Among those elected was CHE Kuong Hon, President of the World Sports University (WSU). His election highlights WSU’s growing contribution to the international Sport for All movement and its engagement with global sports governance.

The Executive Board brings together members from 45 countries across four continents, reflecting the diversity and international scope of the Sport for All community.

Following the Electoral General Assembly, the Congress programme featured expert contributions on key development themes, including innovative Sport for All tools, emerging disciplines, traditional sports, community-based multi-sport approaches in challenging contexts, and the integration of music and sport.

The newly elected Board convened its first official meeting on 25 January 2026, setting priorities and strategic direction for the new term.

The scale of participation at the Assembly was reflected in the following figures:

  • 117 total participants, both in-person and online

  • 8 new national members, 15 individual members, 8 associate members, and 4 committee members

With these additions, FISpT now counts 102 members worldwide, further strengthening its global network.

The successful conclusion of the General Assembly and Congress represents a meaningful step forward for international Sport for All development and reinforces the role of education, leadership, and collaboration—values strongly shared by World Sports University—within the global sporting ecosystem.
